Author's Note : This is an Extreme Makeover : Home Edition/Bleach crossover. Betcha I'm the first one to do this.

Chapter 1 : Bless our broken home.


A tall man with long white hair, tied back in a ponytail, and warm chocolate brown eyes, climbed onto the bus and sat down as the giant vehicle pushed off down the road. Jyuushiro Ukitake was a single father of two smal children and had to work as a teacher's aid to make ends meet. But there were times when there's was just too much month and not enough money to pay for all of the needs that was necessary for him and his family to survive.

His older adopted brother, Shunsui Kyouraku Ukitake lived with him and helped him to pay the bills, but it still just wasn't enough. And to make matters worse, the house was falling apart. There was mold growing in the walls and water damage throughout various parts of the house. Jyuushiro had tried applying for benefits, but was denied. Even though he had tuberculosis, he wasn't classifed disabled. And the medical bills for his medication was mounting faster than he could pay it off.


Bus Driver : Hey pal, this is your stop, right?

Jyuushiro : ( is pulled from his deep thoughts ) Hmm? Oh yes, thank you. ( gets off the bus and walks up to his home )


Jyuushiro stood there for a moment and just stared at the house. It looked fine on the outside, but was a mess on the inside . . . much like him.


Jyuushiro : ( sighs and shakes his head ) No use complaining. That won't help things. ( he then walks up to his house and steps inside )

Chapter 2 : Oh, brother of mine.



Jyuushiro walked through the door and was instantly greeted by two small children.


Momo : Daddy, Daddy!

Toushiro : Daddy's home!


Tired as he was, Jyuushiro always had enough strength to pick up his two children. A little boy and a little girl, related to each other. He adopted them three years ago when they were very small. Momo was four years with plum purple hair and big brown eyes. Toushiro was six years old with snow white hair and ice blue eyes. They both had grown very attached to Jyuushiro and his older brother, Shunsui Kyouraku Ukitake.


Jyuushiro : Hi there, my little one's. Were you both good for your Uncle Shunsui?

Shunsui : ( pops his head in ) They're always good for their Uncle Shunsui.


Shunsui, Jyuushiro's older brother, was friendly and overly flamboyant. With such a handsome face, a rugged scruffy, and long, dark brown hair tied back in a ponytail, it was hard to believe that the man loved pink. He had pink in his waredrobe. Why he loved pink, no one knew. But Shunsui always claimed that "real" men wear pink.


Jyuushiro : ( looks down at Toushiro ) Toushiro . . . you're wearing a pink shirt. I thought you hated pink.

Toushiro : Yes, but Uncle Shunsui said that "real" men wear pink.

Jyuushiro : Oh. Well, I don't wear pink. Does that mean I'm a not a real man?

Toushiro : ( looks over at his uncle for an answer )

Shunsui : Um . . . . . . uh . . . . . . . . . . . well . . . . . . . . . "real" men . . . . . also have white hair . . . . like you and your Daddy. . . . . . Real men also take good care of their families. So your Daddy is more of a real man than I am.


Jyuushiro smiles at his older brother and sets his children down. Most people would call his brother strange, weird, obnoxious, and goofy. They would be right about the obnoxious and goofy part. Too bad they couldn't see what deeply he cared for younger brother, niece, and nephew.

Chapter 3 : My cry for help.


Later that night, when Momo and Toushiro were in bed, Jyuushiro was up late that night looking over the bills.


Jyuushiro : ( sighs heavily ) Hmmmmmm . . . . the electric, the gas, the water, plus the mortgage . . . . . . . . . . it's not enough . . . . . we don't have enough this month.

Shunsui : ( walks in yawning ) You still up Casanova? It's late, even for you.

Jyuushiro : Shun, we don't have enough.

Shunsui : Huh? We don't have enough what?

Jyuushiro : Money. We don't have enough money. We won't be able to pay all of the bills again this month.

Shunsui : ( runs his hand through long, dark hair ) . . . . Again, huh? Well, I could put in some hours at work and . . . . hey, Jyuu? You alright?


By now, Tears had silently begun to spill down Jyuushiro's face. He was afraid and he didn't know what to do. If he wasn't able to provide for his children . . . . then he might lose them. Even after three years, he still didn't have enough to fully pay for their adoption.

The state would have no choice but to take Momo and Toushiro away from him if he wasn't able to provide.


Jyuushiro : I don't have enough Shun . . . . . I don't want to lose them. I don't what I'll do if I lose my children.

Shunsui : ( puts his arm around his brother ) Hey nw. Stop it with the "I don't have enough". It's not like you have to do all of this alone. Look, I'll take another job so we can try to make ends meet. They're my niece and nephew. I won't let them be taken away. Alright?

Jyuushiro : ( silently nods. He knew better than to open his mouth. If he did, he knew he wouldn't be able to stop sobbing, like he did so many nights )

Shunsui : ( grins ) Good. Now, let's get some rest and . . . . . ( goes silent )

Jyuushiro : Shunsui? Shunsui, are you okay?


Shunsui didn't answer. He was too deep in thought. Then, a grin slowly spread across his face. He then silently runs upstairs so as not to wake Toushiro and Momo, then comes back downstairs carrying a video camera.


Shunsui : Okay little brother. Let's make a movie tomorrow.

Jyuushiro : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Good night Shunsui.

Shunsui : No, I'm serious. This will work. Tomorrow you have the day off. That's when we'll make a movie. Please . . . . . . trust me. This is going to save our home.

Jyuushiro : ( sighs ) Alright . . . . alright. We'll do this . . . . thing that you want to do.

Chapter 4 : Help is on the way.



The sight of a very large bus could be seen driving down the road. Four people, plus their leader, were riding inside of it. Most epople would think that such a large bus would hold many more people. Inside the bus, a tall man who looked like he was in his fifties, with spiky brown hair, walked to the front of the bus.


Ty : ( is speaking to a camera that is in front of him ) I'm Ty Pennington. We're all about helping out families in great need. And the renovation starts, right now. ( he then turns to his four friends ) So, Paulie, Paige, Ed, and Micheal, this week, we're in Sacremento, California to meet, the Ukitake family. Now, this family has been through a lot. Take a look at this tape you'll see why we're here. ( turns on the video with a little remote )


On the screen appears Jyuushiro, Shunsui, Toushiro, and Momo standing outside of their home.


Everyone : Hi ABC! We're the Ukitake Family!

Jyuushiro : I'm Jyuushiro, I'm the father and little brother.

Shunsui : I'm Shunsui, I'm the uncle and ruggedly handsome big brother.

Toushiro : I'm Toushiro, and I'm six years old.

Momo : I'm Momo, and I'm four years old.

Everyone : Welcome to Sacremento, California!

Shunsui : Home of the most cute looking women!

Jyuushiro : SHUNSUI!!!

Ty : Jyuushiro and Shunsui are brothers, and they decided to buy a home together. Ever since Jyuushiro was an infant, he had a disease called Tuberculosis, which is a respitory condiion. Jyuushiro has bad episodes where he coughs up large amount of blood and feels very weak. Still, he goes to work five days a week to provide for his two adopted children, Toushiro and Momo.


Jyuushiro : This disease makes it rather difficult for me to go to work. But I must in order to provide. I have more good days than bad days though. So, it isn't so bad.

Ty : Shunsui helps his little brother as best he can by working a part time job to bring in extra income. But lately, it hasn't been enough.

Shunsui : I won't lie. We are struggling. I especially worry for Jyuushiro, because he's been working to hard as of late, just to make ends meet. The stress is making this Tuberculosis worse.

Ty : Their house is in bad condtion too. There's holes in the floor, the ceiling leaks, and the foundation is starting to crack and weaken. On top of that, Jyuushiro might end of losing his two children, because of the inability to pay for their adoption.

Jyuushiro : ( has tears running down his face ) I don't want to lose my children. I love . . . . ( voice begins to crack ) I love them so much. I need them. I can't lose them. If they get sent back to the state, I might never see them again. They could get sent to someone who mistreats them . . . . and it's all because of this disease of mine.

Shunsui : Come on now Jyuu, don't talk like that.

Ty : Because of the Tuberculosis, the medical bills are piling up, so simple things can't even be afforded, like the mortgage or the eletric bill.

Jyuushiro : ABC, please come and help us. I know that there are ther families who need your help . . . . don't come for me. Come for my brother, for my children. I . . . . . I beg of you.

Ty : ( turns off the video ) Wow . . . . they need us bad.

Paige : ( wipes the tears from her eyes ) Really, really bad.

Ty : So guys, can we do this?

Ed : You bet!

Micheal : Yeah!

Paige : Of course!

Paulie :You betcha!


Then they all put their hands together.

Ty : Well then let's . . . . .

Everyone : DO IT!!!
